You can find us at the Texas Township Farmers' Market in Kalamazoo every Saturday morning from May 13 to October 21, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and on Tuesdays from 4 to 7 p.m. from June 6 to August 29, selling frozen lamb and beef cuts this summer.
We sell many cuts of lamb, including shoulder and leg full and half roasts, lamb loin chops, shoulder, arm and leg steaks, shanks, cubed lamb, and ground lamb. We'll also be selling beef cuts this year and have freezer beef available each fall. Contact George at george@buckhamfarms.com or 269-375-7676 for more information.
Our lambs and calves are born here in Kalamazoo, either in the barn during the winter or out on pasture during the spring. Both are finished later in the year on a grains and forages, like silage, huskelage, and alfalfa hay, that we grow and mix ourselves. Raising and feeding our sheep and cattle this way on both grain and forages delivers great-tasting, natural and home-grown lamb and beef products.
All of our lamb and beef is grown and processed locally in Michigan. Have additional questions on how we raise our animals? Feel free to ask us!
If you'd like more information on lamb, a great resource is the American Lamb Board, where you can learn about different cuts and preparation and get some great recipes! Check it out!
We also take special orders if you'd like something we don't have. See you at the market!
