Our commercial flock began in the early
1990's.
This flock now consists of about 800 ewes that we pasture and lamb throughout Kalamazoo county.
We're currently developing an accelerated lamb program. We pasture spring lambs while winter lambs are born in the barn. All are finished on feed.
We're using innovative feeding and grazing programs and utilizing crop aftermath, turnips and husklage, a seed corn byproduct, as well as conventional feeding methods.
We're developing ewes that are polypay and white dorper-based and using home-raised black-faced rams as terminal sires for growth and muscle.
